If you are in London, don’t miss this club!
Operated by the London Fabric, Matter is a multi-roomed place for large scale events and is hosting various parties from hiphop to tech-house and drum and bass.
Two big names in the Drum and Bass scene are making great parties on regular basis, this is actually what got my atention on this venue, but let’s not forget about the Stanton Warriors Sessions or the Cocoon parties.
Since Drum and Bass and Breakbeat are my favorite genres, I recommend the RAM Records, Hospitality and Stanton Sessions parties.
RAM Records, the label stared by Andy C, has the founder as a host of the party, and names like Sub Focus, Chase and Status, Dillinja are only some of the ones that played there.

Here is his statement after the event:
“I couldn’t believe it, I still can’t believe it. I expected David Guetta to win so I was totally blown away. This was the least expected one. I can understand that people might think that if you win it for the third time it’s not that special anymore. But, for me, it’s the most special.”
The first places are almost the same like last year, but we can see some serious fallings in the chart with Andy C – 50 places, Ricardo Vilallobos – 35 places and James Zabiella with 21 places.

Miami’s WMC 2010
The Winter Music Conference has announced its dates for its 2010 edition.
The 25th anniversary of the event will take place from March 23 until March 27th. The networking is set to commence at a new venue this time around, with the Eden Roc Beach Resort serving as the official headquarters, replacing the Miami Beach Resort & Spa. With a hefty 500+ event, 1,900+ acts strong calendar last year, it stands to reason that the anniversary edition will only be bigger than ever before. With no details presented yet, we can only guess as to what they may have in store for the festivities. For those who know already that they’ll be heading down to Miami during March next year, we suggest getting in early: The early bird rate is $235 for a conference badge, but that will only hold until November 11th.

Weekendul care tocmai a trecut, l-am dedicat unei actiuni mai putin obisnuite unui post de radio. Pentru prima data, intreaga echipa Logitune a venit in ajutorul naturii, la solicitarea lansata de Club Off-Road Bucuresti (Corb 44) reprezentat de Vali Dutu in calitate de fondator si presedintele al clubului, am hotarat sa dam o mana de ajutor celor care cu un an in urma, au reusit sa stranga din aceeasi zona un camion plin cu gunoaie.
Alaturi de noi si-au mai aratat interesul de a colecta deseuri si jurnalisti de la Gandul si Green Report, reusind sa strangem dupa 2 zile aproximativ 100 de saci cu cele mai diverse resturi.
Printre cele mai bizare capturi s-au numarat: o bucata de fuzelaj de avion, un cartus de arma, un glob de Craciun, un spray de spuma poliuretanica, un obuz, o jumatate de geanta diplomat si incredibil de multe becuri pentru o zona complet lipsita de electricitate.
La final echipa Logitune a dorit sa aiba o amintire cu “captura” fotografiind muntele de saci alaturi de cei care l-au strans.

Pentru ca gunoiului chiar nu-i place la mare, ne-am hotarat sa-l punem la locul lui pe: 18-20, 25-27 Septembrie.
Noi vom fi in Delta la Grindul Chituc alaturi de alti oameni ingrijorati de starea unuia dintre cele mai frumoase locuri din Europa. Daca va pasa, sau daca va place Delta Dunarii, Logitune va invita sa o curatam si sa o ingrijim. Astfel vom putea sa ne mandrim si peste 20 de ani cu faptul ca am reusit sa ne pastram acest ecoparadis.

Dudu este considerat a fi unul din veteranii dnb-ului in Romania. Este prezent in scena din prima zi si inca activeaza ca si dj, promoter si radio host, fiind mereu un deschizator de drumuri in zona dnb din Romania.Impreuna cu Ufo pune bazele miscari underground in Timisoara , cu legendarele petreceri de hala din 95 96 iar in 98 imreuna cu 3 prieteni ,formeaza AnonimTM , organizatie conceputa cu scopul de a promova miscarea breaks. Cel mai important proiect al sau, pe care il conduce alaturi de bunul sa prieten din copilarie, Roli Breaker, este desigur festivalul open air 48H. In 2004, alaturi de dj SUV, dau drumul proiectului „Looking for a voice”, moment in care a marcat descoperirea talentatei MC Tina care devine in scurt timp vocea anonimTM.

Mesmer / Sound of Habib / Scarcity
Recunoscut ca fiind cel mai prolific producator de breaks din Romania, Mesmer nu s-a multumit doar cu albumul, foarte apreciat peste hotare de altfel, scos la renumita casa de discuri Sound of Habib, intitulat Furious Fish. Mesmer are mult de lucru in prezent, muncind aproape fara pauza atat pentru propriul sau label, Scarcity Records, ce va fi lansat foarte curand, cat si pentru numeroase case de discuri precum Re:Connect, Bombtraxx, Sango, Glack Audio si altele. Cu un mod de abordare specific si un stil propriu, de catre multi intitulat “oldschool meets nuschool breaks”, el pune Romania pe harta breakbeat internationala. Releasurile lui Mesmer au la baza credinta sa ca breakbeat este un stil puternic, foarte imaginativ si profund.

Activeaza in domeniul muzici electronice din 2000 cind s-a alaturat grupului LBC ,implicindu-se in promovarea muzicii electronice in Tg-Mures prin organizarea mai multor evenimente in acest scop. Mixind pe la diverse evenimente locale, numele sau incepe incet incet sa se faca cunoscut ,fapt ce il propulseaza pe scenele unor festivaluri mari din tara cum ar fi De la Hoya, 48H,Summerbreak sau Tmbase ajungand sa fie unul dintre cei mai cunoscuti DJ in domeniu.
Stilul sau este caracterizat prin diversitate muzicala si dinamism,abordind diferite genuri din sfera “ritmurilor sparte”. Astfel, seturile sale imbina in mod coerent “arome” de hip-hop, nu-funk, brokenbeat, nu-jazz, bigbeat sau drum and bass,fiind mereu surprinzatoare si imprevizibile!

Bread&Butter
Pasiunea pentru muzica pe suport analog a dat nastere proiectului Bread&Butter in vara anului 2007 cand Hieroglipha si Sclava Isaura s-au intalnit si s-au decis “sa-si faca formatie”. Acum invart cu pasiune si dedicatie rotile de fier lasand sa iasa prin difuzare muzica proaspata de pe toate continentele. Painea cu unt se asezoneaza dupa gust cu jazz, funk si samba, iar dupa ce se rumeneste la 180 de grade in cuptor maestrii de ceremonii, colorati, din africa, mexic si brazilia vin si dau savoarea finala, fiecare pe limba lui.

Tomasan
Toma Soare a.k.a. Tomasan, nascut in 1984 in Heilbronn (Germania) este unul dintre cei mai activi DJ si promoteri de party din Romania. Cu studii de chitara si bongos, hranit cu bossa nova, jazz, funk si hip-hop, Tomasan isi imparte setul de obicei, in mai multe bucati, mixeaza dubstep si breakbeat sau invers, alteori se intampla sa se vada prins intr-un mashup de 2step, ghetto house, booty, baltimore, wobble electro, uk funky si toata gama de muzici cu bas.
Tomasan a mixat in majoritatea cluburilor din Bucuresti si din tara, a fost invitat la festivalurile de muzica electronica din Romania: Summer Break (Deva), Delahoya (Cluj) si 48H (Timisoara); a fost prezent de 2 ori la RadioAnonimTM in Timisoara, de 2 ori la Radio Lynx in Bucuresti, i s-a difuzat un set la Radio Deea, de curand a sustinut un live-mix special de funk pentru IbizaSonica Radio si a fost invitat in studio de radio-uri precum OneFM si ProFM.

Outlook Festivals “Exodus to Croatia” is not only the biggest and most comprehensive dubstep line-up in the world but also features some of the best names in soundsystem culture from the worlds of Dub & Dubstep, Reggae, Dancehall, Roots, Soul and Dancefloor Beats. . . . . and the line-up is still growing. With more artists still to be announced this years festival looks set to explode.
After last years massive success at The Garden, Petrcane, and this years enormous launch party in London with over 1800 attendees (400 more than we had at last years festival) tickets for this years festival are flying out so quickly that we have had no choice but to find a bigger venue. Which is exactly what we have done. And we are overjoyed with the new location.
We can now accommodate twice the number of people (3000) with a club that can fit everyone in (just about). Sandy Beaches, Monster Soundsystem. . . a beautiful location for a week of great basslines & beats, good friends, great bodies and the perfect place to learn how to Bogle.
Our new home is on the Island of Pag, a place well known for its beautiful sandy beaches and parties that go long into the night. At the new site you can still swim in the glistening Adriatic, dance under the stars & join us aboard the amazing Boat Parties.
You can come and stay for a week or just a long weekend, there’s plenty to see and do and there will be entertainment and shenanigans provided for the duration. Musical entertainment will take place on a terraced bar on by the sea for day and night-time dancing, an outside amphitheatre overlooking the ocean for live acts, the nightclub and of course not forgetting the Boat Party.

3D Sensations with yellowBird
On 4th July another Sensation event took place in Amsterdam. If you missed this one, don’t worry, they filmed everything in 3D, and let’s hope they will publish it soon.
They didn’t produce it like you are used from 3D theaters and IMAX, but using a technology that capture the actual event and you can view everything in 360 with just a mouse move.
The guys are dutch and many of the events they are shooting are there. Next time when you go to Amsterdam, don’t be afraid if you see a guy having a strange device on his head with 4 cameras, that’s the yellowBird camera, and you probably are filmed in 3D.
